At St Pierre sur Dives, take D4 towards Livarot / Orbec. At Boissey, take the little road to your right (at the Café/Restaurant), go straight on and at the intersection (white doors in front), turn right towards the town hall. Go along the town hall and take the little road to your left, in the wrong direction except for residents, towards the St-Julien fountain.

Saint-Germain-de-Livet Castle (14 km from Boissey)

An original 16th century building.  Stone and glazed brick checker-board construction. The building features a court-yard with archways, a guardhouse decorated with murals and a very beautiful half-timbered wing which emphasizes its charm.

Beuvron en Auge (20 km from Boissey)

A lovely village that has preserved forty-odd half-timbered houses around the main square. The authentic décor transports the visitor to another era.

Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux Basilica (20 km from Boissey)

Built in 1954 on the heights above the village, the basilica has become a pilgrimage site for the entire world. The size of the building bears witness to the devotion to Saint Thérèse. Work on it commenced in 1929 (4 years before Saint Thérèse’s canonization) and was completed with the consecration of the basilica on July 11th 1954.

Guillaume the Conqueror’s castle at Falaise (22.5 km from Boissey)

It was in this castle perched on a rocky headland that Guillaume, Duke of Normandy, conqueror and King of England (Hastings, 1066) was born in 1027. The fifteen-tower walls date to the 13th century.
